Great initial results with GL.iNet router and external LTE antennas
I’m writing this review a little late because I was waiting for two separately purchased Quectel YE0013CA 4G antennas.
The physical setup was straightforward: I simply connected both antennas to the external SMA ports. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the correct internal antenna cables were already connected and the separately ordered heatsink had also been installed securely.
I’m using the EM120K-GL with a GL.iNet router. The modem was recognized immediately, although I had to switch its USB network mode from MBIM to QMI with an AT command to achieve full performance. After that, the connection became fast and stable, with strong LTE signal quality. In my initial tests, the 4G speed was even higher than on the iPhone 16 Pro Max I used for comparison.
I also successfully powered both the modem and router from a UGREEN power bank, so the setup works well without mains power—very useful for mobile applications and live streaming.
So far, I’m very happy with the purchase. I’ve only just started testing it, but the first results are excellent, and I hope it remains this reliable over long-term use.

Excellent public Wi-Fi router 4G
Talked with Richard over the phone plus email. Let him know we were using 12VDC as a main power source as we’re traveling in a motorcoach from campsites to off grid locations but would still be in coastal areas near cities.He was able to set us up with free public Wi-Fi equipment, router plus this antenna that worked excellent. The antenna was able to double the routers upload and download Mbps speeds very very consistently.The equipment is high-quality along with the mounting hardware. I decided to go with galvanized fence top rail 1- 3/8 inch diameter that have slip fittings plus schedule 40 PVC 1- 1/4 inch as a slip fitting, making a very, very solid, long, lasting professional mast imho.
