Product Details
Our 48V to 5V 3A POE+ Gigabit Splitter with USB Type C Power Plug receives data and power over a single Cat7/Cat6A/Cat6/Cat5e Ethernet cable and splits the power and the data into two output cables (i.e, the USB Type C provides 5 volt DC 3 Amps of power to the device, and the RJ45 Ethernet cable to provide the data). This will allow a non-PoE, 5 volt, device to be remotely installed and powered over the Ethernet cable (PoE).
The Splitter requires a 40V to 56 Volt PoE (power adapter) Gigabit Injector that combines (injects) the Dc power and the data into a single ethernet cable and sends it to the splitter. A 48V PoE power injector is typically used and may be installed within 100M of the Splitter.
The PoE Splitter supports Mode A (Pins 1,2 + 3,6-) and B (7,8 + 4,5-) for both IEEE 802.3af /802.3at standard protocol for supplying DC power.
802.3af (PoE) can deliver up to 15.4 watts per port over network cables with 12.95W assured to be available at the powered device.
802.3at (PoE+) can deliver up to 30 watts over network cables with 25.5 watts available to the receiving devices. For this reason, PoE Plus is also known as High PoE.
The unit’s data rate of Gigabit 10/100/1000 (GbE) transfer supports an ultra-fast maximum data rate of 1 Gigabit per second (Gbps - 1000 Mbps) and does not affect the speed performance of the local area network and devices.
The Splitter is equipped with a standardized USB type C power plug which is compatible with numerous modern devices.
