from 134 reviewsThis cellular modem is a great piece of hardware. Pairing it with my OPNsense firewall\router for my mobile internet solution has worked very well. As long as cellular service is half-way decent, this out performs Starlink and that's only with basic paddle antennas.
Richard has been great, I asked several questions before and after purchasing this item, He answered all my questions completely and in a very timely manor.

Quick delivery and great service

I was skeptical about purchasing the Amplimax as I had come off another manufacturers pro 4x4 mimo antenna system for my Att Internet Air home.
I'm only 2/3 mi from the tower but a metal pole barn and an old water tower are in my line of site as well as several trees.
I never got 5g before the Amplimax and with the old antenna 250 down and 45 up were possible on occasion but not very often.
Setup wasn't as bad as I expected and the videos and online help provided were awesome.
I now have 99% 5g signal on n5 band, with b2 and 2) b66 bands seen also. The unit is mounted about 10 ft up on the corner of my house with approx 60' of cat 6 cable to my router. Voltage at the unit reports > 20v, well in excess of the 9 v minimum. I did use another competitors ethernet window entry adapter about half way to the router as I have no attic access to the side of my house facing the tower.
I have seen speeds exceeding 300 mbps down and 100 bps up on off peak hours with the Speed test app to a server 49 miles away. 250 down and 80 up pretty much the norm.
Like another review says, just do it!

They do exactly as you'd expect!

I tried two other POE injectors that I purchased from Amazon, neither of them worked! By Alfredo's recommendation I purchased this one, and it worked perfectly! I'm very pleased!

It's been a year since I bought this but just got around to seriously getting it up and running. Since I have an InvisaGig I just wanted something for backup. Of course really not needed but now have something for travel .
Came here, followed the steps in the video and....ta-da it connected straight away. Really an impressive enclosure for the price especially with RJ45 connector. Excellent quality also.

I've got an EC25-AF modem in this puppy, and with the excellent support provided via chat, I've got the two playing nicely together, operating on the T-Mobile network via Calyx.
The EC25-AF provides low and some mid-frequency bands, and coupled with this router, makes a great long-range setup that doesn't take a lot of power to operate. It can sit up on a hill with about 50ah of 12v lithium batteries and run for days. Throw panel or two on it and you've got internet, rain or shine.

I've got service on the T-Mobile network via a Calyx Sprout sim. This modem has access to the low-frequency, long-range (though slower) bands -- Band 5, Band 12, and Band 71, which are critical for providing a stable connection. While these can't compete on speed, they can provide a rock-solid connection in areas that other bands can't touch.
Combined with the NEXQ6GO, this modem is a perfect off-grid or RV companion:
* solid signal in remote locations
* acceptable speed (32mbit where I am now, but up to 150mbit, or almost 20 megabytes per second)
* doesn't use tons of power

Looks sturdy and was well packed

Tried another vendor's product(s) and support. The wireless haven support and product really shined in comparison. Very comparable price, but MUCH better support with knowledgeable advise. I would recommend the company and the product. Thanks WirelessHaven!

Bought the amplimax ultra 5g in the quest for better internet quality using in my case T-mobile 5G business internet.
The difference before and after the amplimax is night and day. My internet is faster in both download/upload as well as cutting my MS/ping in half. Internet is steady and reliable at any time of day now. I wish knew about this day 1 when i switch from fiber to cell based internet.
I recommend this solid little unit all day long 5/5
Now 9 months later after been very happy with my internet I started to have connection issues. After reaching out to t-mobile about this issue and spending more time then i would like to admit playing the back and forth game. T-mobile assuring me that everything on there end was good and that it must be a problem with my own device they tell me to reach out to the manufacture.
I reached out to thewirelesshaven.com and used there small chat window button on the bottom right of the screen.
Within a couple of mins Richard responded and we started from the top and worked our way down all of the troubleshooting/tests we could do to determine what was going.
I really appreciated that the fact he spent the time and attention necessary to actually get the problem solved.
And what did we find out?
Gosh golley go figure There was nothing wrong with my amplimax. T mobile had given me another bum sim card. after spending hours with them telling me the opposite.
TheWirelesshaven backs up what they sell. recommend service 5/5
Last thing, The video content that comes with these products thewirelesshaven sells is hands down some of the best step by step guides/materials to getting your new equipment not only setup but and DIALED IN.
Thanks again Richard. You da man!

I am very pleased with this unit. Instructions and videos are very helpful setting it up. Really like the blind search function which tells you which carriers it’s receiving along with signal strength. It is performing very well for me and I now receive a 5G signal. I connected it to my TP Link Decco WiFi Mesh system and it works great.

I had an existing Quectel RM520N-GL that wasn't reliable when used in a Banana Pi R3 Mini. The modem would randomly disconnect/not power up. Therefore I started looking for a different solution.
I ordered the 5G2PHY adapter and had it in my hand about a week later. Not too bad considering it had to travel all the way from US-TN to Northern Europe.
The 5G2PHY adapter seems to be well made and quite heavy due to both the steel case and the aluminium block that the modem sits against when mounted in the adapter. The aluminium block has quite a rough finish but most of it is covered by the thermal pad that sits in between the block and the modem. It seems like the large aluminium block does a very good job of dissipating the heat from the modem. Please keep in mind that any heatsink taller than 5 mm attached on top of the modem will likely interfere with the SMA contacts/cables. I have a 5 mm tall heatsink installed on top of the modem and the SMA connectors barely fit with it installed.
There seems to be a few different revisions of the 5G2PHY adapter, I have the 240510 PCB revision. A friend of mine that ordered the adapter from a different vendor got a different revision that has a slightly smaller aluminium block, a few different components etc. I don't think this should matter to the end user, but it could affect the results between two otherwise identical setups.
Power delivery to the modem seems to be very stable no matter what I put the modem through, using different CA combos/LTE only/5G NSA etc. I'm currently using a Mean Well GST36B12-P1J to power the 5G2PHY which seems to do the trick, but it seems to be working flawlessly with an older ZTE power adapter as well.
I'm using the RM520N-GL in IPPT mode without any problems with this adapter. When booting up the modem comes online and briefly assigns 192.168.225.1 to the router's WAN interface before passing through the IP address that assigned by the ISP. The Quectel RM520N-GL is unfortunately a bit starved for bandwidth considering that it can only aggregate a total of 120 MHz bandwidth between all bands. To get the highest speeds from my ISP the best choice is to use B7 (20 MHz) + B78 (100 MHz) for 5G NSA which seems to consistently yield speeds of 600-800/120-150 Mbit/s around the clock.
So far I'm very satisfied with both the 5G2PHY adapter and buying from The Wireless Haven.

Glad I found out this could be fixed. I almost gave up and was about to order another modem. Super reasonable pricing and top notch support!

This was my third and final purchase so far. I currently have it connected and hooked up with my dual plus pro waveform antenna. This has netted me 1.4 gbps down and 204 mbps up. The best so far and happy with it overall until the new x85 comes out and is available to buy. Be warned though the OpenWrt requires some research and knowledge to get it going good. Still learning and enjoying though and can’t wait for more in the future. Richard is the Man, and love wireless haven. Looking forward to new ideas, purchases, and items from them. :)
